Materials
- Brown paper bag
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Elephant template
Instructions
- Download the elephant template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin to make the puppet by glue the eyes in the middle of the elephant head.
- Next, take the trunk and glue it in between and slightly overlapping the eyes.
- Place the cheeks on the outside of the eyes and glue them down.
- Create the ears by gluing the darker inner ears to the lighter outer ears.
- Glue the completed ears, one on each side, to the back of the elephant head.
- Take the completed elephant head and glue it to the flap portion of the brown paper bag.
- Make the elephant's legs by gluing the nails to the bottom of the feet.
- Next, place the feet on the elephant's body and glue them in place. We angled our slightly inward and cut off the excess paper that hung off the sides.
- Finish making the elephant by gluing the body to the main part of the brown paper bag.
