This Father's Day Tool Craft is a fun way for kids to cut, glue, and arrange all kinds of tools on a peg board for the fix-it dad. Little hands will be busy building both a keepsake and their fine motor skills.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tools Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the hammer neck to the bottom of the hammer head.
  • Grab the hammer base and glue it to the bottom of the hammer neck.
  • Glue the eyes onto the top portion of the hammer head to complete the hammer.
  • Next, get the screwdriver tip and glue it to the top of the screwdriver base.
  • Place the eyes above the smile on the screwdriver handle and glue them down.
  • Next, get the wrench and glue the eyes onto the top portion
  • Begin the layout by gluing the message tag to the bottom area of the pegboard background.
  • Glue the completed hammer on the right side of the pegboard.
  • Then, glue the screwdriver in the center of the pegboard, next to the hammer.
  • Finish by gluing the wrench on the left side of the pegboard, next to the screwdriver.
