Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker
  • Toolbox Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the hammer head on top of the hammer neck.
  • Next, glue the hammer base underneath the hammer neck to complete the hammer shape.
  • Finish the hammer by gluing the eyes above the mouth.
  • Create the screwdriving by gluing the screwdriver tip to the top of the screwdriver base.
  • Make the wrench by taking the eyes and glue them near the top of the wrench piece, where the face would go.
  • Glue the completed tools onto the toolbox, leaving the bottom parts hanging off the toolbox.
  • Glue the card base on top of the bottom portion of the toolbox.
  • Take the label and glue it to the center of the card front panel.
  • Optionally, create the handle by taking the inner handle piece and gluing it on top of the outer handle piece. Finish by attaching the completed handle to the top and back of the toolbox card.
  • Complete the card by lifting the flap and writing a special message inside.
