Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • White Paint Pen or Crayola Bold & Bright marker
  • Gingerbread Man Shape Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the circle head piece onto the top of the rectangular body piece.
  • Glue the circle button pieces to the center of the body.
  • Next, grab the triangle pieces and glue together to form a bowtie, right under the head.
  • Glue the eye pieces onto the head, above the mouth.
  • Now, use a white marker to draw wavy icing lines on the ends of the rectangle arm and leg shapes.
  • Fold each rectangle strip back and forth like an accordion.
  • Next, glue two folded strips to the back and sides of the body for arms.
  • Glue the last two folded strips to the back and bottom of the body for legs.
  • Finish by using the white marker to add a small icing hair swirl on top of the head.
