This goofy leprechaun craft will add lots of personality to St. Patrick’s Day! Kids will create a silly leprechaun out of paper featuring bouncy accordion legs.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Leprechaun Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes just above the mouth.
  • Next, glue the nose in the center below the eyes.
  • Glue the tongue along the bottom curve of the mouth.
  • Glue the face onto the center of the beard.
  • Now, glue the hat to the top of the face.
  • Next, glue the ears to each side and back of the beard, just under the hat.
  • Take the completed head and glue it to the top of the body.
  • Glue the buckle onto the center of the belt.
  • Next, glue one arm to each side of the body, angled upward.
  • Now, glue a hand to the back and end of each arm.
  • Fold the legs back and forth to form the accordion shape.
  • Next, glue a shoe to the bottom of each leg.
  • Finally, glue the top of each folded leg behind the bottom of the body.
