Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Hole punch standard, .5″ & 1″ or large googly eyes
  • Green pom pom optional
  • Glue stick
  • Black marker
  • Grinch template

Instructions

  • Download the Grinch template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
  • Begin by tracing your child's hand on a piece of light green cardstock and cut it out.
  • Assemble the Grinch using the glue stick to attach the body to the bottom of your child's handprint.
  • Next, glue the feet to the bottom of the Grinch's body.
  • Secure the arms on either side of the Grinch's body.
  • Now, glue the scarf to the Grinch's neck, just beneath the handprint.
  • Place the eyebrows towards the top of the palm and glue in place.
  • Glue the googly eyes or make the eyes with colored paper and glue them into place beneath the eyebrows.
  • Make a nose for the Grinch by cutting out a circle from the dark green card stock or use a green pom pom and glue it into place.
  • Finish off by drawing a simple smile beneath the nose.
