Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Squirrel template

Instructions

  • Download the squirrel template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eye below the eyebrow.
  • Position the mouth and nose piece below the eye and glue it in place.
  • Next, glue the inner ear to the center of the outer ear.
  • Trace your child's hand onto a piece of brown or orange paper and cut it out. Position the handprint with the thumb up and the fingers pointed to the left. Place the head on top of the thumb and glue it in place.
  • Now, glue the underside of the tail to the bottom portion of the tail.
  • Take the completed tail and glue it to the back and right side of the squirrel body.
  • Finish off by gluing the squirrel to the side of the tree.
