Materials

  • Colored card stock most likely in shades of pink, purple and blue
  • White card stock
  • Markers
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Unicorn craft template download form located at the end of the page

Instructions

  • Download the unicorn craft template, print and cut out the pieces.
  • Trace your child’s hand onto the colored paper that they want to be the unicorn’s body. Cut out the handprint.
  • Take the head piece and glue it on top of the thumb.
  • Glue the unicorn’s horn to the top, middle part of the head.
  • Place the top mane piece on the unicorn’s head until it lines up along the back of the head and secure with glue.
  • Put the bottom main piece so it meets the top mane piece and flows down the “neck” area. Glue this piece in place.
  • Take the unicorn’s ear and glue it at the place with the two mane pieces meet.
  • Glue the unicorn’s mane to the pinky end of the palm.
  • Use the markers to decorate the unicorn’s back end with hearts or stars.
  • Draw on the unicorn's hooves with the marker.
