Download the apple template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by painting the paper plate with a thin coat of paint – red for a red apple or green for a green apple. Let dry completely before moving on.

Place the apple template on the dry paper plate, trace, and cut out the apple shape.

Position the apple stem at the top of the paper plate and glue it in place.

Glue the leaf just to the side of the stem. Use a black marker to draw a curved line to represent the dip in the middle of an apple.

Glue the apple’s eyes just below the leaf, in the center of the plate.

Place the apple’s tongue in the middle of the mouth and glue in place. Use the scissors to trim off the excess paper.

Finish up by gluing the completed mouth below the apple’s eyes.
