Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Black marker
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Bold & Bright Crayola markers
  • Black cat template

Instructions

  • Download the black cat template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

  • Begin by painting the paper plate with 1-2 thin coats of black paint. Let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.
  • Trace the face on the paper plate and cut it out.
  • Next, glue the inner ears to the center of the outer ears.

  • Now, place the ears on the top and sides of the paper plate and glue them in place.
  • Glue the eyes on the center of the face.
  • Position the nose below the eyes and glue it in place.

  • If your kids are making the happy cat, use the white marker to draw the mouth below the nose.
  • If your kids are making the angry cat, attach and glue the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.

  • Next, glue the teeth to the top of the mouth.

  • Finish off by gluing the completed mouth below the nose.
