Black Cat Paper Plate Craft

Supplies
- Paper plate
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Black marker
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Bold & Bright Crayola markers (optional to draw the happy mouth on)
- Black cat template (unlock the free template at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this black cat to life!
First, guide your child to paint the paper plate with 1-2 thin coats of black paint. Let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Trace the face on the paper plate and cut it out.
Next, glue the inner ears to the center of the outer ears.
Now, place the ears on the top and sides of the paper plate and glue them in place.
Glue the eyes on the center of the face.
Position the nose below the eyes and glue it in place.
If your kids are making the happy cat, use the white Bold and Bright marker to draw the mouth beneath the nose. You are done after this step.
If your kids are making the angry version, glue the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.
Next, help your child glue the teeth to the top of the mouth.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the mouth below the nose.
