Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Yellow or brown paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Rooster template

Instructions

  • Download the rooster template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by painting a paper plate in a shade of brown or yellow. Let the paper plate dry completely before moving on.
  • Place the rooster head template on the dry paper plate, trace with the pencil, and cut it out.
  • Glue the eyes in the middle of the head, one on each side.
  • Place the wattle behind the rooster's beak and glue it in place.
  • Take the completed wattle and beak piece and glue it in between and slightly overlapping the bottom of the eyes.
  • Finish off by gluing the comb to the top of the head.
