Materials

  • Paper plates
  • Brown paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Black marker
  • Scissors
  • Walrus template

Instructions

  • Download the walrus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by painting the paper plate in 1-2 thin coats of paint and let dry completely.
  • Next, trace the walrus head template onto the paper plate and cut off the top section only.
  • Position the eyes towards the top of the head and glue in place.
  • Glue the nose to the middle of the mouth.
  • Now, glue the tusks behind and on the bottom of the mouth. Use the marker to draw on whisker holes.
  • Finish off by taking this completed piece and gluing it slightly overtop the bottom of the eyes.
