This polar bear card craft combines art and literacy when children create a friendly bear and write inside the card.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Polar Bear Card Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by folding the card base along the dashed line, then cut it out, leaving the top part uncut.
  • Next, glue the eyes below both eyebrows.
  • Glue the nose and mouth piece in the center, just below the eyes.
  • Now, use a pink marker to draw the inner ears onto the outer ears.
  • Next, draw two small cheek circles on the face below the eyes.
  • Place the finished head onto the front of the card base and glue it down.
  • Next, draw and fill in the paw pad details on each paw with a gray marker.
  • Lastly, open the card and write a short winter message inside.
