Popsicle Stick Walrus Craft For Kids

Materials

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Cardstock
  • Brown paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue dots permanent or hot glue
  • Black marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Walrus template

Instructions

  • Download the walrus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Cut a popsicle stick into thirds with the scissors. Line up 4 popsicle sticks evenly. Stretch out three glue dots to go onto the back of the cut up popsicle stick. Use this to secure the 4 popsicle sticks together.
  • Flip the popsicle sticks over and paint it in 1-2 thin coats of brown paint. Let dry completely before moving on.
  • Glue the walrus eyes on the popsicle stick, towards the top.
  • Place the tusks behind the mouth and glue in place. Use the marker to draw on the walrus nose and whisker holes.
  • Position the mouth and nose just below the eyes and glue it in place.
  • Glue the flippers on either side of the popsicle stick, at the bottom of the body.
