Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayola Bold & Bright markers
  • Skunk Handprint Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by gluing the head stripe down the center of the skunk’s head.
  • Glue the eye pieces onto the face, one on each side of the head stripe.
  • Use a white Bold & Bright marker to draw an eyebrow above each eye.
  • Color in the skunk’s inner ears with a pink Bold & Bright marker.
  • Trace your child’s hand onto paper and cut it out to create the skunk’s body.
  • Glue the body stripe along the top of the handprint. Alternatively, you can have your child draw on the stripe with the white marker.
  • Glue the finished skunk head onto the thumb side of the handprint.
  • Look for the tail stripe and glue it onto the tail, following the curve of the piece. Alternatively, you can have your child draw on the tail stripe with a white marker.
  • Finally, glue the completed tail to the left and back side of the handprint body so it curves out to the side.
