Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • bird template

Instructions

  • Download the bird template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by taking the eye and glue it just below and to the right of the eyebrow.
  • Next, glue the beak to the right side of the bird’s head and glue it in place.
  • Now, it’s time for the cheek! Guide your kids to glue it on the lower side of the eye.
  • Glue the right wing to the back and right side of the bird’s body.
  • Position the front wing to the left and front side of the body and glue it in place.
  • Place the bird in front of the nest and secure it in place with some glue.
  • Next, cover the lower part of the bird with the front piece of the nest and glue it in place.
  • Finish off by cutting some small rectangles from brown paper to look like twigs and secure them in place with glue.
