Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scrap paper (to fill the paper bag)
  • Double sided tape optional, but easier than using glue
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Brown paper bag
  • Turkey Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by adding crumpled paper inside the brown paper bag to give it shape. Now, fold over the top of the bag and gently squeeze it to give the turkey some shape. When you have the shape you like, tape it down on the back.
  • Glue the eyes onto the turkey head just below the eyebrows.
  • Next, glue the snood below the eye.
  • Then, attach the beak between the eyes, slightly overlapping the top of the snood.
  • Glue the paper feet to the bottom of the paper bag.
  • After that, glue the wings to each side of the bag.
  • Glue the completed turkey head to the top of the bag and press gently to secure.
  • Finally, use double-sided tape or glue to secure the large paper feathers to the back of the bag. Spread them out to form the tail feathers.
