Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker
  • Sun Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, edit it, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes below each of the eyebrows.
  • Next, glue the cheeks below each of the eyes.
  • Cut evenly spaced slits around the edge of the large circle to create the sun's rays.
  • Glue the face in the center of the larger circle with rays.
  • Fold some of the cut strips upward to create a 3D effect.
  • Glue the completed sun onto the center of a background sheet.
  • Finally, arrange and glue the cloud letters below the sun to spell out the child’s name.
