Let’s have some creative fun with this torn paper ice cream craft that’s inspired by our favorite summer treat. This hands-on activity will keep kids entertained and secretly work on their fine motor skills at the same time.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Ice cream template

Instructions

  • Download the ice cream template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by tearing the brown and purple paper into small pieces, then glue the brown paper onto the background paper to create the ice cream cone.
  • Next, glue the purple paper to the ice cream portion of the background paper.
  • Now, glue the cherry to the top of the ice cream.
  • Place the eyes in the center of the ice cream and glue them in place.
  • Position the mouth in between and just below the eyes and glue it in place.
  • Attach and glue the tongue to the center of the mouth.
  • Finish off by drawing the diagonal lines within the ice cream cone.
