Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker
  • Watermelon Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out all the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing torn paper pieces to the bottom section of the triangle to form the rind.
  • Next, glue torn paper pieces inside the triangle to fill in the watermelon center.
  • Then glue the two sunglasses frames to the bridge piece to complete the glasses.
  • Place the completed sunglasses onto the watermelon and glue them down.
  • After that, glue the lenses inside the sunglasses frames.
  • Glue the mouth piece below the sunglasses.
  • Next, glue the tongue inside the mouth.
  • Finally, use a marker to draw seed shapes across the watermelon.
