Let your child tear green and red construction paper into small pieces. Grab your background sheet with the printed triangle outline. Apply glue at the base of the triangle, then begin placing the green paper pieces to create the watermelon rind.

Continue placing and pressing torn green paper pieces along the bottom of the triangle until the rind area is fully covered.

Now it’s time to move to the red pieces. Apply glue inside the triangle area above the rind, and let your child fill it up with the torn red paper.

Keep layering torn red paper pieces inside the triangle until the entire fruit section is fully covered.

Take the two sunglasses frame pieces and glue each one onto the small middle bridge piece to connect them.

Place the sunglasses onto the red part of your watermelon slice and glue them down right at the center.

Next, take the black lens and glue them inside the sunglasses frame.

Time to give your watermelon some charm! Grab the mouth and glue it slightly below the sunglasses.

Now, tuck the pink tongue piece right into the mouth and glue it down. This little detail gives the face an extra fun and playful vibe.

Let the kids start drawing small seed shapes near the top of the red part of the watermelon using a black marker. This step helps them practice their fine motor skills as they draw each little seed.

Continue drawing the seeds throughout the rest of the red area of the watermelon.
