Handprint Strawberry Activity

It’s a fun way to mix creativity with a bit of sensory play. It’s also a great way for kids to practice their scissor skills and strengthen fine motor muscles while also learning to use glue.

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this strawberry to life!

Start with the strawberry base. Help your child glue the eye pieces above the mouth.

Trace your child’s hand on green construction paper and cut out the handprints. These will be the leafy top of the strawberry.
Position the handprint with the fingers pointed up and glue the strawberry onto the bottom edge of the handprints so the green leaves stick out from the top.

To finish, take another green handprint cutout and glue it behind the first layer to add more leafy detail to the top of your strawberry. This gives it a fuller, more playful look!

Strawberry Handprint Craft
Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Strawberry Template
Instructions
- Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Begin by gluing the eyes above the mouth.
- Trace your child’s hand on the construction paper and cut out the handprints.
- Position the handprints with the fingers pointed up. Glue one handprints behind the top of the strawberry to form the leafy top.
- Lastly, glue the other handprint layer behind the first to complete the leaves.
