Kids will design a turkey by using cupcake liners for its tail feathers. While we stuck with classic autumn colors for our turkey’s feathers, kids can choose any colors they’d like! This activity will keep little hands busy, build fine motor skills, and make a perfect decoration to display this Thanksgiving.

Directions

Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this turkey to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eyes below the eyebrows.

Next, glue the snood below the eyes.

Position the beak on top of the snood and glue it in place.

Now, help your child glue the feet to the back and bottom of the body.

Cut a couple of cupcake liners in half, then glue them on the back of the body.

Finally, encourage your child to draw the feathers of the turkey on the lower part of the body.
