Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Bird template

Instructions

  • Print the template and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the face onto the top and left side of the toucan's body.
  • Now take the beak and glue it to the left of the eye.
  • Take the left wing and glue it to the back and side of the toucan's body, so it sticks out just a bit.
  • Glue the right wing to the front and right side of the toucan's body.
  • Now, glue the tail feathers to the back, bottom, and right side of the body.
  • Position the feet behind the bottom of the legs, then glue them in place.
  • Finish up by attaching the heart to the midline of the beak. This will make it look like the beak is holding the heart.
