Materials

Colored cardstock or construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Pipe Cleaners
Tape
Watermelon Template

Instructions

Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
Start by attaching the rind piece on top of the watermelon skin, leaving some of the skin showing at the bottom edge.
Next, place the fruit piece above the rind and press it down firmly.
Now glue the eyes above the mouth.
Twist one pipe cleaner to create a hand shape.
Flip the watermelon craft over and position the first pipe cleaner arm on the back.
Secure the arm in place using tape.
Repeat the process with the second pipe cleaner arm on the other side and tape it down.
Next, bend two pipe cleaners to form the legs.
Position the legs at the bottom of the back side of the craft.
Finish by taping both legs securely in place.
