Eagle Paper Cup Craft For Kids [Free Template]

The most anticipated holiday over the summer is definitely the Fourth of July! Kids are eagerly waiting to see the fireworks display, eat lots of good food, and hang out with friends and family!

While they patiently wait for the big fireworks show, keep them occupied with a fun and patriotic craft! Kids will be amazed that an ordinary paper cup can become a majestic eagle with this eagle paper cup craft!

This is an inexpensive and easy-to-prepare craft since you most likely have everything on hand that’s needed. Just check your pantry to see if you have any leftover party cups. If not, you can get several for around a dollar at your local dollar store.

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Glue dots (optional)
  • Markers
  • Eagle template (enter your email in the form to get the template)

Directions

Download the eagle template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the right eye underneath the right eyebrow.

Take the beak and glue it in the middle of the eagle’s head, slightly overlapping the right eye.

Next, glue the left eye under the left eyebrow so it is slightly overlapping the top part of the beak.

Place the cup with the rim facing down. Use a black marker to draw some feather marks on the lower portion of the paper cup.

Use glue or a glue dot (we prefer the glue dot) to glue the head to the top and middle of the paper cup.

Fold the eagle’s wings along the dashed lines, then apply glue or a glue dot to the folded portion of the wing. Glue one wing to each side of the cup.
