If you a have boy ages 3-12 there’s a good chance they love are obsessed with Pokemon.
It’s been around since I was a kid and yet, with the release of Pokemon Go, I think it’s the most popular it has ever been!
At my house, I swear my son watches it daily.
And while the Pokemon’s sounds drive me nuts (why don’t they say anything besides a version of their name?!), if I sit around it too long I find myself watching it way too intently.
It’s kinda embarrassing.
But when you compare Pokemon to say, Teletubbies, Pokemon wins in my book every day!
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I created these Pokemon valentines cards for my 1st grader, but I’m sure kids of all ages will love them.
Each card has a funny Pokemon pun only true fans (or moms who do some research) will understand.

I went with the basic characters to start, even with heavy insistence from my son that I need more “mega” characters.
I don’t know exactly what that means, except that they’re more evolved versions of Pokemon.
If there’s a character you want to see added, let me know in the comments below. If I get enough people asking for the same one, I may just add it to the list!

I like to print them on heavy, white cardstock like this kind and use a paper trimmer to easily cut them to size.
To give them that extra special touch, I round the corners with a punch like this as well.
The PDF is formatted with all 6 designs on one page so you won’t have to print too many pages.
