Directions
Start by downloading the sheep craft template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this sheep craft to life!
To start, let’s grab two paper plates and paint them dark gray or black. Once painted, make sure to let them dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Now that our paper plates are all dry, it’s time to give our sheep some personality! Help your kids glue the eyes in the middle of one of the paper plates, slightly higher than the middle of the plate.
Next, glue the pink nose in the middle, just below the eyes. Our sheep is starting to look so cute already!
Use the poster paint pen or chalk to draw on a sweet smile for our sheep.
Let’s add the finishing touches to our sheep’s face. Guide your kids as they glue the pink cheeks just below the eyes.
Time to give our sheep its signature ears and woolly fluff! Trace the sheep’s ear template on the second gray paper plate and cut out the pieces.
Glue the sheep’s ears behind the sheep fluff. Then, use double-sided tape to secure the completed sheep fluff to the top of the sheep’s head.
Isn’t this such a bright and cheery craft?! If your kids enjoyed making this cute craft be sure to check out our other animal paper plate crafts for more fun!
How Can I Make This Craft Easier?
If you’re making this cute paper plate sheep with toddlers or young children who might not have the attention span needed to make the original craft, don’t worry!
We have suggestions for you on how to make this fun craft even more kid-friendly.
First, we suggest skipping the paint. Instead, buy some gray or black paper plates from the dollar store. If you do this instead, you won’t have to worry about painting or waiting until the paint is completely dry before moving on.
You can also skip the cheeks if you need one less step as well! The little details on this fun sheep craft are cute, but it’s not 100% necessary.
Finally, we’d recommend having all the pieces cut out before you gather the kids around. Little ones can be a bit impatient if you don’t have all the supplies ready for gluing together!
However you end up making this sheep craft, we think the kids are gonna love it!
