Paper Plate Sheep Craft

Supplies
- Paper plates
- Gray or black paint
- White card stock
- Pink card stock
- White poster paint pen or chalk
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Glue stick
- Double sided tape
- Sheep craft template (download form located at the end of this page)
Directions
Download the sheep craft template, print out the pieces and cut out.

Paint two paper plates gray and let dry completely. One paper plate is for the sheep’s face and the other paper plate is to cut out the sheep’s ears.
If you don’t want to paint two paper plates, you can just use matching gray card stock or construction paper instead.

Take the sheep’s eyes and glue them near the middle of the paper plate.

Place the pink sheep’s nose just below the eyes, between them both.

Use the poster paint pen or chalk to draw on the sheep’s mouth.

Glue both of the two pink cheeks on either side of the nose, just beneath the eyes.

Trace the sheep’s ears onto the second gray paper plate. Cut out the ears.
Glue the sheep’s ears to the backside of the sheep’s fluff. Take the completed fluff and ears and use the double-sided tape to secure it to the top of the sheep paper plate.

We used double-sided tape because it’s easier, holds better on the painted plate and has no dry time!

Now your child has a cute sheep craft that’s perfect for Easter.

How Can I Make This Craft Easier?
If you’re making this craft with toddlers or young children who might not have the attention span needed to make the original craft, don’t worry!
We have suggestions for you on how to make this even more kid-friendly.

First, we suggest skipping the paint. Instead, buy some gray or black paper plates from the dollar store. If you do this instead, you won’t have to worry about painting or waiting until the paint is completely dry before moving on.
You can also skip the cheeks if you need one less step as well! The little details are cute, but it’s not 100% necessary.

Finally, we’d recommend having all the pieces cut out before you gather the kids around. Little ones can be a bit impatient if you don’t have all the supplies ready for gluing together!
However you end up making this sheep craft, we think the kids are gonna love it!
