Itโ€™s so simple, even toddlers can help make one. Weโ€™ve given you the free printable template so all you need to do is cut out the pieces and glue to together.

Itโ€™s a fun cut and paste activity that little girls will love. It also makes a fabulous craft for a unicorn themed birthday party.

Directions

Download the unicorn template, print and cut out the pieces.

Take the unicorn bang piece and place a bit of glue along the bottom side of the back. Position it on the unicornโ€™s head so that the left end goes behind the left ear and over the right ear.

Place glue along the right side of the unicorn mane and place it behind the unicornโ€™s head, with the tip of the mane behind the left ear.

You want it to look like both mane pieces are one, so rotate it until it looks fluid.

Glue the unicornโ€™s horn in the middle of the bangs. Next, put some glue along the top of the neck. Slide this piece behind the unicornโ€™s head and mane and glue in place.

Since itโ€™s so easy to make, itโ€™s great for crafting with preschool and kindergarten children. It would also make a great unicorn craft for birthday parties!

Depending on the age of the kids at the party and their skill level you can let them cut and assemble their own unicorns or you can have all the pieces cut out ahead of time.

This simple craft also works well for preschoolers learning the alphabet. Once youโ€™re ready for the letter U, try a U is for unicorn unit.

Start off with a fun unicorn book like this silly unicorn book, or this other fun unicorn book. After youโ€™ve read a few books, why not have your child work on handwriting practice with some other letter u worksheets?

Make this super simple paper unicorn craft with the kids! It's easy and great for unicorn birthday parties too!

Equipment

  • Scissors

Materials

  • White cardstock
  • Colored cardstock
  • Glue stick
  • Unicorn template download form located at the end of this post

Instructions

  • Download the free unicorn template, print and cut out the pieces.
  • Glue the unicorn bangs to the top of the unicorn head, with the left end under the left ear.
  • Glue the unicorn mane under the back of the left ear so the two pieces look like one.
  • Place the unicorn horn on the bangs and glue in place.
  • Glue the unicornโ€™s neck to the back of the unicorn mane and head.
