Dinosaurs are a very popular topic with kids.

They love learning about these prehistoric creatures and they always enjoy reading books or watching tv shows that involve dinosaurs.

This craft is perfect for kids because it’s easy to make, fun, and most importantly kids will be able to take pride in their work by seeing the handprint of their favorite dinosaur!

How To Make A Handprint Dinosaur

Supplies

• Colored cardstock or construction paper
• Scissors
• Glue stick
• Pencil
• Stegosaurus template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the Stegosaurus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Optionally: Begin to make the dinosaur by gluing the belly to the bottom of the dinosaur’s body.

Take the legs and glue 2 to the front of the body and 2 to the back of the body like in the pictures.

Next, glue the eye just above the dinosaur’s mouth.

Trace both your child’s hands onto a colored piece of paper and cut them out.

Place your child’s handprints, fingers facing up, behind the dinosaur to make it look like its spikes. Glue them in place.

That’s it! So easy! It’s such a fun dinosaur activity.
