This is a great craft for a circus theme or when learning about elephants! These intelligent animals are so mesmerizing and so big!

This easy and entertaining craft is great to do at home, in the classroom, or even at a circus themed birthday party where everyone can go home with their own balancing elephant!

Gather up some colorful paper, scissors, and glue along with the template to visit the Big Top with this craft! Kids will be able to practice using important skills and their imaginations when they create this giant balancing act. 

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons (if using the color in version)

Directions

Download the elephant template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the pink inner ear to the middle of the elephant’s ear.

Place the eye underneath the eyebrow and glue it in place.

Next, create the circus ball by gluing the stripes to the ball. Cut off any excess paper that hangs off the sides.

Finish off by gluing the elephant to the top of the ball.
