Robot Father’s Day Card Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Dads are very special people in a child’s life, and although it’s a good idea to make sure he knows how special he is every day, he has a day set aside just for him.

So with Father’s Day coming up soon, plan some crafts for the kids to show Dad how much he means to them!

What better way to show Dad he’s appreciated than with a handmade card from the kiddos? Kids can let him know they “love him a BOT” with this cute robot Father’s Day card craft!

Printable Fathers Day Card

Spend time with your kids crafting this cute card that they can personalize with a heartfelt message on the inside.

Kids can customize their robot craft to be any color they think Dad will like, so grab the colorful paper, scissors, glue, and our free template to get started on making this thoughtful gift.

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or markers (if using the color in version)
  • Robot template (enter your email in the form to get the template)
Color cut and paste robot fathers day card

Directions

Download the robot template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Fold the robot card base in half along the dashed line and cut out the base, leaving the top part uncut.

Take the head and glue it to the top and back of the card base.

Place the mouth in the middle of the robot head, just above the card portion, and glue it in place.

Next, glue the eyes below each of the eyebrows. Take the antenna and glue it to the top and back of the head.

Place the panel on the robot’s body, to the right of the buttons, and glue it in place.

Take the arms and glue them, one on each side to the back of the card base. Glue the hands to the end of the arms.

Next, take the wheels and glue them to the back and bottom of the card base.

Finish up by opening the card up and writing a fun message inside to Dad or Grandpa!
