Supplies
- Paper cup
- Colored cardstock

- Leprechaun Template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)
Direction
First things first, download the Leprechaun template. Once it’s downloaded, print it out. Now before the kids can start building their projects, they’ll need to carefully cut out the pieces that they will be using.
Next, let’s start bringing our leprechaun to life! Start by assembling the face. Have your child take the mustache and the nose pieces and glue them onto the face.
Next up are the eyes. Have your kids take the eye pieces and glue them one on each side, just above the nose.
What’s a Leprechaun without his hat, right? So, let the kids attach the hat piece on top of the leprechaun’s head. Make sure it’s secure by gluing it in place.
For an extra touch of detail, we’re going to add a buckle to our hat. Place the outer buckle in the middle of the hat band and glue it in place. Then, ask your child to glue the inner buckle to the middle of the outer buckle. If there’s any extra paper hanging off the sides of the hat, simply trim it off.
Now, let’s move on to the shirt. To finish it off, let the kids glue 3 yellow buttons in the middle of the cup. This will give our Leprechaun a bit of style!
Finally, it’s time to bring it all together. Take the head and glue it to the top of the paper cup. We prefer using a glue dot or double-sided tape here because there’s no drying time, but a glue stick works just as well.
That’s it! Isn’t it easy and fun to make? Check out our other spring crafts we’re sure your kids will love making them too!
