Leprechaun Monkey Craft For Kids [Free Template]

Are your kids ready for St. Patrick’s Day? Get them excited to celebrate with a fun and creative craft!

They’ll find the cutest leprechaun monkey craft waiting for them at the end of the rainbow this St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a fun and creative craft they’ll love to make and proudly display as a festive holiday decoration.

Leprechaun Kids Idea

There are two versions of this craft that you can choose from. There’s the craft version that can be made with colored paper, or have the kids color in the template with crayons or markers to make it their own. This is a great option for your younger kiddos.

With both versions, kids can practice their cutting and pasting skills as they assemble their little monkeys. It’s a great way for them to work on fine motor skills as they have fun creating a whimsical craft.

Grab the free template, scissors, and glue so your little monkeys can get to crafting!

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker or crayons
  • Monkey template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the monkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the face to the middle of the monkey’s head.

Glue the eyes below each of the eyebrows. Use a marker or crayons to draw the cheeks onto the monkey’s face.

Next, glue the belly to the middle and the bottom of the monkey’s body.

Place the bowtie at the monkey’s neck and glue it in place.

Take the left arm and glue it near the top of the body, on the backside, with it pointing up. Take the hand and glue it to the end of the arm.

Glue the right arm to the back of the body, with it pointing down.

Place the clover on the right arm and glue it in place. Next, place the monkey’s right hand facing up, so it’s holding the clover, and glue it in place.

Position the monkey’s tail near the bottom of the body and glue it to the back.

Make the hat by gluing the hat band to the hat, then glue the outer buckle to the middle of the hat band. Use a black marker to draw the inner buckle inside the yellow outer buckle.

Finish up by gluing the hat to the top of the monkey’s head.
