Grogu (Baby Yoda) Paper Bag Puppet [Free Template]

Looking for a cute and easy baby Yoda craft for kids to do? This baby Yoda paper bag puppet is perfect!

Somehow Yoda was always cute, despite his age, but once baby Yoda popped up in the Disney+ tv show, The Mandalorian, he stole the show.

Now everywhere you look it’s all about baby Yoda, or as he’s supposed to be referred to as, The Child.

Whatever his name really is, he’s adorable and we knew we had to make him into a paper bag puppet!

Read on below or watch our quick video tutorial to see how to make him with your kids!

Begin by creating baby Yoda’s ears by gluing the pink inner ear to the green outer ear. We went with a soft pink and light green, but you can have green inner ears as well as a darker green Yoda color. Just choose whatever colors you like best or have on hand.

Once you’ve finished making the ears, glue them to the top flap portion of the brown paper bag. We glued them down about .25″ from the top part of the bag.

Take baby Yoda’s face piece and glue it on top of the ears.

Next use the green marker to draw on a cute, tiny nose in between the eyes.

If you want, use a circle punch or scissors to cut out two different sized circles from the white card stock. Glue these onto the corresponding circles on Baby Yoda’s eyes.

This just gives him a cleaner look, but it’s not necessary if you don’t mind the green paper background they’ll have without it.

Finish him off by drawing on his fluffy coat. We used a darker brown marker to draw on the main details and a lighter brown marker to make the fluffy marks on the top part of his coat.

Isn’t this baby Yoda so adorable?! We just can’t with him!

Since this craft is really simple, we think it’d be great to do with preschool, kindergarten, and elementary-aged children.
