Ever since the Mandalorian was released, Baby Yoda has been my kids’ favorite toy!
They carry the little green guy everywhere and even though we now know his name is Grogu, they still only call him Baby Yoda. Oh, well!
If your children or students love Baby Yoda as much, you’ll have to make this Baby Yoda headband craft with them. It’s simple, fun, and a perfect Star Wars craft for May the 4th!
Watch our quick video tutorial, then download the free printable template to make it this year.
Yoda Ears Craft

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Tape
- Markers or crayons (if using the color in version)
- Baby Yoda template (unlock the free template at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this Yoda to life!

First, encourage your child to glue the eyes, one on each side, in between the two wrinkles.

Next, help your child place the nose just below the nose wrinkle and glue it in place.

Position the pink inner ears so they line up with the head and so that the bottom of them hangs off the ear. Glue them in place, then trim off the excess paper.

Now, guide your child to create the mouth by gluing the tongue to the bottom part of the mouth. Trim off the excess paper with the scissors.

Take the completed mouth and glue it slightly below the nose, in the middle of the headband.

Finally, attach the headband extenders by taping one on each side of the base of the headband.
