This bee activity is a fun activity for kids to develop their fine motor skills, scissor skills, and ability to follow instructions while using their imaginations. It’s also a fun project to do together for a little holiday fun.

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Directions

Start by downloading the bee turkey template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this turkey to life!

First, help your child glue the stripes along the bottom part of the yellow body. Have the kids trim off any excess paper from the sides.

Next, glue the feet to the bottom of the bee’s body.

Now, guide your child to position the eyes just below each of the eyebrows and secure them with glue.

Place the snood just below the eyes, and help your child glue it in place.

Have your child glue the beak on top of the snood.

Next, encourage your child to glue the antennae to the top and back of the bee’s head.

Finally, help your child by gluing the wings on the sides of the bee’s body and attaching them to the back.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Bee turkey template

Instructions

  1. Download the bee turkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Begin by gluing the stripes along the bottom part of the yellow body. Trim off any excess paper that hangs off the sides.
  3. Next, glue the feet to the bottom body.
  4. Position the eyes and glue them below each of the eyebrows. 
  5. Place the snood just below the eyes, and glue it in place.
  6. Glue the beak on top of the snood.
  7. Next, glue the antennae to the top and back of the bee’s head.
  8. Finally, glue the wings on the sides of the bee’s body and glue them to the back.
