Inside: Need a simple and fun art boredom buster this summer? Try this dot sticker art drawing for kids idea.
Summertime is one of the best times to connect with your kids.
I mean sure, when they’re home all day it can become challenging to keep the peace at home, but that’s to be expected, right?
In our house, there’s usually some arguing, some excessive zombie noises and a desire to ransack the house, looking for the perfect fort building materials.
But once in a while, we find a great activity to do together.
Recently, we came up with this awesome art drawing idea for kids.
Read on below (or check out the video) to see just how simple and fun it is!

This creative drawing idea is insanely easy and only requires a few supplies, listed below:
Supplies
- Dot Stickers
- Plain Paper
- Pens
The basic premise of the art activity is this:
You take the stickers, the pens, and your imagination and go to town.
Seriously, it’s that easy!
I usually play with my 7-year-old and we alternate taking turns doodling new objects and characters.
We’ve played this “game” many times at home before, but it’s also a great activity for church or any other place where your kids need to be quiet.
The beauty of this activity is that you and your kids get to use your creativity and come up with cooler and cooler ideas.
I’ll be the first to admit that my son has an infinitely better imagination than I do. Whenever I run out of ideas, I’ll ask him to give me one so we can keep playing together.
And besides encouraging creativity, it also helps with developing greater fine motor skills, improving hand-eye coordination, promoting family bonding, and so much more!!
Just in case you can’t tell exactly what all of our drawings are, I’ve labeled them in the picture below. I think you’ll see how a little creativity goes a long way.
I can’t tell you just how much fun this drawing activity is!
The next time you need a fun activity for your kids, try this one out ??
