Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this haunted house to life!

Take the house and roof pieces. Have your child glue the house on top of the roof, leaving a small gap at the top edge to make the roof visible.

Next, take the yellow moon with the black bat silhouette. Glue it behind the roof to make it look like a spooky night.

Now, let’s add the chimney. Glue the black chimney piece to the back of the roof on other side. This simple addition really makes the haunted house feel complete.

Grab the window piece with the little ghost peeking out. Have your child glue this window onto the top section of the house. It’s so cute, isn’t it?

Look for the door outline piece and glue it onto the bottom of the house.

Next, take the black door and glue it above the purple door outline.

Then, grab a gel marker and draw a small circle for a doorknob.

Every haunted house needs a graveyard! Glue the gray tombstone piece with “RIP” on it next to the door.

For the best part, grab the paper ghosts that spell your child’s name! Glue them in a line across the front of the house. It’s so fun to see their name come to life!

This is a great way to celebrate Halloween with your little ones while also working on name recognition. We think your kids will have a blast creating it! Check out some of our fun Halloween Art Ideas for your kiddos while you’re here.
