Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Princess template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)

Directions

Start by downloading the princess template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this princess to life!

First, encourage your child to glue the eyes next to the eyelashes.

Next, guide your child to glue the hair to the top portion of the face.

Take the top and glue it to the bottom of the neck.

Trace your child’s hand two times on colored paper and cut it out. Position the handprint with the fingers down and slightly overlap them with the thumbs in the middle. Glue them together.

Position the ballgown dress below and at the back of the top and glue it in place.

Next, help your child glue the waistband so it’s overlapping the top and the dress. Trim off the excess paper that hangs off the sides.

Now, glue the back hair to the back of the head and body.

Place the crown on the top portion and back of the head and glue it in place.

Glue the arms to the bottom and back of the puff sleeve.

Bring a bit of that magic into your home by making this princess handprint craft. These regal creations will be a hit with your little princesses! 

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Princess template

Instructions

  1. Download the princess template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Begin by gluing the eyes next to the eyelashes.
  3. Next, glue the hair to the top portion of the face.
  4. Take the top and glue it to the bottom of the neck.
  5. Trace your child's hand two times on colored paper and cut it out. Position the handprints with the fingers pointing down and slightly overlap them with the thumbs in the middle. Glue them together.
  6. Position the handprint dress below and at the back of the top and glue it in place.
  7. Glue the waistband so it's overlapping the top and the dress. Trim off the excess paper.
  8. Now, glue the back hair to the back of the head and the body.
  9. Place the crown on to top portion and back of the head and glue it in place.
  10. Glue the arms to the bottom and back of the puff sleeve.
  11. Finish up by gluing the arms to the sides of the body.
