This Halloween art activity is a great way to build fine motor skills through cutting, gluing, and arranging the different paper pieces. Kids will also strengthen hand-eye coordination and color recognition while expressing their own design choices like what color to make her hair.

Directions

Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this witch to life!

Look for the eye pieces and glue them onto the witch’s head, below the eyebrows.

Grab the bangs piece and glue it across the top of the witch’s head.

Glue the finished head piece to the top and center of the top of dress & arms piece. Your little witch is already starting to come together!

Take the candy corn dress and glue it underneath the top of dress & arms.

Glue the middle candy corn dress piece across the middle of the dress to create the layered candy corn look.

It’s time to give the witch her hair! Glue the hair piece behind the head so the wavy sections peek out from both sides. Kids can have fun choosing purple or pink hair for their witch.

Grab the two hand pieces and glue one to the end of each arm. Let your child line them up with the sleeves and press them down.

Take the two leg pieces and glue them to the back and bottom of the candy corn dress so they extend underneath it.

Glue one shoe to the bottom of each leg and press them firmly into place.

It’s time to give this candy corn witch her hat! Glue the hat onto the top of the witch’s head so the brim overlaps the hair.

Finish the craft by gluing the hat band across the witch’s hat.
