Kids learning about outer space? If so, this cut and paste rocket craft is perfect!
This rocket activity for kids is not only fun for kids to create, but it also helps children work on fine motor skills, cutting skills, and critical thinking.
We’ve included two free printable versions for kids to use. The first is in full color. All you need to do is print it out and let the kids cut and glue it together.
The second version is black and white. For this one, kids get to color the rocket ship any color they want and then cut and paste it together.
Either way, this is a fun and quick activity that’s perfect for young children!

Rocket Ship Cut And Paste

Supplies
- White paper or cardstock
- Black, blue or purple cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons or markers (if using the color in version_
- Rocket printable (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)
Directions
Download the rocket printable and print it out.

Let the kids decide which template they want to use. If they’re using the color in version, use the markers to color in the different pieces of the rocket. After coloring, cut out the pieces.


Take the tip and glue it to the top of the rocket base.

Glue the window in the middle of the rocket base.

Next, glue the fins to the back and bottom of the rocket base.

Create the flames by gluing the inner flame to the middle of the outer flame.

Finish creating the ship by gluing the flames to the bottom and back of the rocket base.

Take the completed rocket and glue it to the background paper.

That’s it! Can you believe how simple this activity is? It’s perfect for preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary children.
