3D Rocket Template Printable Craft [Free Download]

When you have a child who is learning about space, you know they can’t stop at one activity! They want all the space activities.

That’s what we’ve been doing around here; making tons of fun rocket crafts for kids. But our newest one, this 3D rocket template printable craft may be at the top of our list.

It’s a fun rocket activity for kids that has a cool 3 dimension feel to it!

If your kids love paper crafts, they’ll have a blast making this one.

3D Paper Rocket Craft

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Stickers or gel crayons
  • Rocket template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the 3D rocket template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin to create the rocket ship by gluing the inner flame to the outer flame.

Next, glue the engine to the top of the flames.

Take one of the rocket body pieces and glue it to the top of the engine.

Place the fins on either side of the bottom of the rocket base and glue them in place.

Take each of the 3 other rocket body pieces and fold them in half vertically (hot dog style).

Glue these 3 pieces to each other on one side. Use the outer 2 sides and fold them out. Glue them to the main rocket pieces to create the 3D effect.

Position the completed rocket on a dark blue or black piece of paper and glue it in place. Decorate the paper by using star stickers or gel markers.

Materials
