Do your kids know anything about farm animals? If they’re lucky, they’ll be able to visit a local farm to get up close with these adorable animals!
Kids just love talking about cows, horses, sheep, and more. One animal that doesn’t get as much attention is the donkey.
If you want your kids to learn about donkeys and have a fun activity to go with it, try this donkey headband craft. It’s easy to make and kids will love wearing it!
Print it out in black and white for kids to color in themselves or make it from colored paper. Both ways are fun and simple.

Cute Donkey Craft
Supplies
- Colored cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tape
- Crayons or markers
- Donkey Template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Download the donkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
Begin by placing the nose and mouth piece to the bottom of the donkey’s face, where the jawlines meet. Glue it in place.
Use a dark brown or dark gray marker to draw the nostrils on the muzzle piece.
Take the eyes and glue them on both sides of the face, just under the eyebrows.
Place the hair in the middle of the head and glue it to the top.
Finish up the donkey’s head by gluing the inner ears to the middle of the outer ears.
Position the headband extenders on both sides of the headband base and tape them together.
Now your kiddo has a cute headband craft they can wear anywhere they are!
