It’s always fun to see how excited kids get when Halloween rolls around. The costumes, the candy, the spooky decorations—it’s a holiday that brings out their creativity and imagination. So why not harness that energy and use it to teach them a valuable skill like cutting?
These Halloween cutting practice worksheets are perfect for young learners developing their scissor skills! The colorful images and Halloween theme are just what you need to keep them engaged and motivated.
In this free printable pack, you’ll receive the following Halloween cutting practice pages:
- Halloween number matching
- Halloween cut along the path (one line)
- Cut along the path (different lines)
- Halloween image matching
Halloween Number Matching Printable
In this fun worksheet, your little one must count the pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and other Halloween objects and then match them to the corresponding number. Once they know how many objects go with each number, they can use their scissors to cut out the number and glue it in place.
This activity teaches number recognition and counting skills while improving their cutting abilities!

Halloween Cut Along the Path Activity
While there’s only one line to cut along on this worksheet, that doesn’t mean it’s any less challenging! Your child will carefully cut along the curvy path and follow the little witch’s broomstick to the end.
They’ll have to twist and turn the paper to stay on track, which helps develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Cut Along the Path (Different Lines) Page
This cutting practice page is similar to the one above but with a twist! Instead of following one continuous line, your child must cut along multiple lines (but they’re all different shapes!). One line is straight, while another is zig-zagged, and the others are curved.
This activity improves their cutting skills and challenges them to pay attention to the different paths and shapes.
Plus, the spooky-cute Halloween images on the page make it even more fun to complete!

Halloween Image Matching Printable
This one might be our favorite in this set! We’ve hidden a mummy, a zombie, and a skeleton behind a rectangle so only their head is peeping out, and your kiddos must match the correct body to the correct monster.
This activity not only encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also helps with cutting skills as they carefully cut out the objects.
And those illustrations? They’re too cute to spook and great for keeping kids engaged!
