Once you’ve done that, make this fun paper bag cactus craft with the kids. It’s a great mixture of arts and crafts and is simple to make.

Cactus Puppet Craft

Supplies

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Dark green marker
  • Cactus template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the cactus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Glue the cactus top to the flap of the brown paper bag, then glue the body on the main portion of the bag.

Use the green marker to draw the lines and spines of the cactus on the head and body.

Position the eyes towards the top of the cactus head and glue them in place.

Glue either the mustache or the assembled mouth right below the eyes.

Glue the big flower to the top, middle of the cactus head.

Draw the lines and spines on the arms of the cactus, then glue the smaller flowers on the top of each arm.

Place the arms, one on each side, in the middle of the paper bag (not the back) and glue in place.

Now you’re done and have a cute Cinco de Mayo craft!
