Inside: Celebrate the Fourth of July (or every day) in style with this free printable Captain America mask for kids.
Little boys are always captivated by superheroes.
It’s like there’s something in their DNA that springs to life that first time they see a superhero.
My boys love Batman, Superman and of course, Captain America even though they have never watched a single movie or tv show with any of those characters in them!
And yet, they still somehow know that superheroes are the good guys and everyone wants to be like them.
Since they’re both really into them, I decided to create this printable Captain America mask.
It’s perfect to foster creative play, for Superhero birthday parties or even to celebrate July 4th. Any way you use them, I know your boys will love them!

Captain America Mask Printable For All Occasions

Since I updated this mask, I decided to include not only a full-color version but also a black and white version.
You can save ink and turn it into a fun craft by coloring it, painting it or even making a tissue paper decoupage with the mask!

Supplies:
- Captain America Mask Template (download at bottom of page)
- Heavy, white cardstock
- Small hole punch
- Thin elastic
- Scissors (these are my favorite for precision cuts)
- Paint, crayons or tissue paper (if using black and white version)
Directions For Full-Color Mask:

- Print out on the white cardstock. To print a child-sized version, use the “fit to page” option to make the mask smaller. For a larger, adult-sized mask, print using “actual size” option on your printer dialog box.
- Cut out along the outline of the mask and inside the two eyeholes.
- Punch two small holes in the circles beneath the wings.
- Using the elastic, measure your child’s head and cut elastic to that length. Tie each side to the holes in the mask.
Directions For Tissue Paper Captain America Craft Mask:

- Print out on the white cardstock. To print a child-sized version, use the “fit to page” option to make the mask smaller. For a larger, adult-sized mask, print using “actual size” option on your printer dialog box.
- Cut out along the outline of the mask (ignore the wings and cut those off too) and inside the two eyeholes.
- Punch two small holes in the circles beneath the wings.
- Use a glue stick to add tissue paper squares to the entire mask.
- After all the blue tissue paper is glued down, glue the wings and the letter “A” to the mask.
- Using the elastic, measure your child’s head and cut elastic to that length. Tie each side to the holes in the mask.

That’s it!
This is really such a quick, fun activity you can do with your kids to help unleash their inner superhero!
