Do your kids love Star Wars? If so, they’ll love making this easy and cute Yoda card craft!
With the release of Disney+ and The Mandalorian, it seems there’s a whole new level of craziness about Star Wars. Even though we have Disney+, we still haven’t watched The Mandalorian.
But, just because we haven’t watched it doesn’t mean we haven’t seen and heard people everywhere talking about it!
We modeled this Yoda craft after the new, cute Yoda on The Mandalorian. We don’t know anything about him in this show, but he’s the most adorable version of Yoda we’ve seen.
If your kids want to make this Star Wars craft, just read our simple directions or watch our quick video tutorial to see how easy it is to make!
And, don’t forget to download the free printable template too!

Star Wars Card Idea

Supplies
- Colored card stock (in green, black and pink)
- White cardstock
- .5” circle punch (optional)
- Standard hole punch
- Scissors
- Black and green marker
- Glue stick
- Yoda craft template (download form located at the end of the post)
Directions
Download the Yoda template, print and cut out the pieces.

Fold a piece of green card stock in half “hot dog” style. Place the Yoda head template on the paper, with the flat part of the head on the fold line. Trace with a pencil and cut out, leaving the fold line intact.
Create Yoda’s ears by gluing the pink inner ear to the bottom part of the green outer ear. Trim off any excess.

Glue the finished ears to the back side of the card.

Assemble Yoda’s eyes by gluing the .5” circle and standard hole punch circle on the outer part of both eyes.

Position Yoda’s completed eyes on the face and glue in place.

Use the dark green marker to draw a small oval nose under the eyes.

Use the black marker to draw on a small smile and a few small wrinkles on Yoda’s forehead.

Open the card and write a special message!

We love how modern and cute he looks. It even kinda looks like a Funko pop character.

When we created this Yoda card, we had it in mind for Valentine’s Day, but you can use it for so many other occasions as well!
Make it as a Star Wars Father’s Day card, a thank you card or even a birthday card. Whoever receives this little craft is going to smile!
And, if you’re anything like we are, you have to write a cheesy pun inside like, “Yoda best!”.

Yoda Card Template
Even though there aren’t a lot of pieces to this craft, we understand how hard it can be to freehand something you just saw a picture of. To help with this, we included a free printable template.

Inside the file, we have two different styles.
One is for use with one or two kids. You’ll print this out on a thick paper, cut out and trace onto the pink and green paper. After that, you’ll need to cut out the pieces again and then you’ll be ready to go.

If you’re making this Yoda card with a bunch of kids, you can use the second part of the template that has the pieces organized by the colored paper they are to be printed on.
When you use this version, you’ll only need to cut out the pieces once, so it will save you some time.

I have read this several times and there is no spot to click for the download. I was trying to find another one of your templates today and also could not find the wolf paper bag template either. Please let me know where I would get both of those.
Thanks

Yes, the form is just a bit above the comments section. If you’re not able to see it, it most likely means you have a firewall or adblocker blocking it from appearing. If you can allow the page or try from a personal device, you should be able to see it. Also, some readers say they’re not able to see it on Chrome, but they can on other browsers. You may be able to try that as well ◡̈

This is one of our clinic favorites! “Yoda best” works for any time of year – mothers/fathers/grandparents day, any birthday or special (valentines) day celebration. Either use the pre-printed pieces, or add a step of tracing a template. LOVE this little guy!!! Yoda best Sam, for making this cute card!
