Spread glue inside the head outline, then have your child crumple and press yellow tissue paper into place. This is a great time to talk about textures and let them explore how the paper feels.

Move up to the middle section of the body. Add glue and crumple the purple tissue paper pieces on top. Encourage your child to fill in all the space and watch the dragonfly start to take shape.

Let’s finish the top section. Add glue and press down the green tissue paper pieces.

Once the body is complete, grab the wing pieces. Glue the wing pieces on each side of the middle body piece so they stick out. Let your child help position them and press them down gently.

Finish up by gluing the eyes to the head.

This insect craft is such a fun way for kids to work on fine motor skills while playing with colors and textures. They’ll love seeing it come together piece by piece. It’s a great mix of creativity and simple hands-on learning.
